What material are egg trays made of?
With the continuous improvement of people’s living standards, a healthy diet with reasonable nutrition is of great concern to everyone. For health, basically every household cannot do without eating eggs. As the demand for eggs increases, the market for egg trays to hold eggs is also getting better and better. So what materials are egg trays made of? The following Let’s do a brief analysis.
1: Manufacturing process of egg tray
The production process is:
First, waste paper, the main raw material used to make pulp molded egg trays (boxes), is put into the hydraulic pulper and is decomposed into pulp fibers under the shear and friction of the water flow; the pulp fibers enter the storage Pulp pool.
To make the product appearance more beautiful and clean, the slurry in the slurry storage tank needs to be screened, that is, the impurities (film sheets, hemp rope, coarse residue, etc.) in the fiber slurry need to be removed. At the same time, the slurry must be further ground. To make the egg tray (box) have waterproof and other properties, it is also necessary to add waterproof and other additives during the grinding process.
After that, the slurry is diluted to a certain concentration and finally pumped to the slurry box of the molding machine. When the forming mold above the slurry box sinks and is completely immersed in the slurry, under the suction action of the vacuum on the back of the forming mold, the slurry is adsorbed and gathered toward the surface of the mold; because of the unique surface water filtration and hollow structure of the forming mold, the slurry is gathered together. The pulp fibers in the slurry adhere to the surface of the mold while the water is pumped away. The fiber layer attached to the surface of the mold is about 2.5mm thick, which is the wet base of the egg tray (box) product. It contains about 75% moisture and needs to be sent to the drying line (temperature 150~180℃) to remove water and dry. The dried finished egg trays (boxes) just need to be (shaped) packaged and put into storage.
2: What are the raw materials of egg trays?
Most of the raw materials for egg trays are paper products. All kinds of book paper, newspapers, cartons, cartons and almost most of the paper collected from waste collection stations can be used. Of course, in order to reduce costs, it is also possible to use the tail pulp used in paper mills as raw materials for making egg trays.
3: Is it necessary to add glue to make egg trays?
The egg tray is formed from pulp fibers, so there is no need to add any glue to help it form. Of course, if you want to achieve the waterproof effect of the egg tray, you still need to add some waterproof glue.
4: Can various straws or sawdust be used as raw materials for pulp?
In principle, pulp made from various types of crushed straw or sawdust can be used as raw materials, but most customers simply crush straw or sawdust without further distillation or processing, so they cannot be used as raw materials for pulp. Shuliy Machinery reminds you that making wood pulp from straw or sawdust requires many processes and requires a large investment. It is better to use paper pulp to make egg trays directly.
In the production process of egg trays, the source of pulp is the largest cost factor. Without affecting the quality, the higher the price of pulp, the greater the profit. If you want to invest in the egg tray business, first understand how much does the egg tray production machine cost? What configurations does it include?
